Kitchen progress!

Last week I didn't do much, but in my last post I promise to show you the progress I did on the kitchen.

Of course the walls and floor need a lot of my attention but I thought it might interest you, to see the work I already have done.

The top of the long sidetable I have covered with lead as so the kitchen trolly in the corner. The butchers chopping blog I made some years ago.

As soon as I have time, I want to concentrate on making some fimo sweets:) It will be my first time, so wish me good luck:))))

  1. Hello Sab! This kitchen is looking so lovely and I think that your center Island is wonderful! What a good idea to cover the surface with lead it makes the table top look like it has been well used instead of being brand new! How did you manage to iron out the wrinkles in the lead before you applied it? It can often undulate and show ripples, but yours looks perfectly flat!
The first thing that I noticed in your pictures was the STOVE that you made. I love the color of it and the SIZE of it. Your 6 burner model is what most mini cooks would desire and in such a spacious kitchen it works beautifully!
    Can't wait to see More!

    1. Hi Elizabeth, the lead was a gift from a friend and it is very thin and easy to work with. There were no wrinkels in it. The stove is the exact size as my real one, but it seems a bit to big though next to the kitchen cabinets and sink. What do you think?

    2. I think it looks looks good to me Sab, and it looks like the focal point of the room. Are you putting a hood or any shelving above it?

  3. Hi Sab! I love the size of this kitchen! It affords you the room to create many interesting corner vignettes. I am still in love with your stove. It's so much nicer than a store bought one. It has so much more character. Your island is fabulous. Again, so much more character than a purchased one. I would love this kitchen in real life. It's spacious and comfortable!

  6. Your kitchen has a very special charm. I like the soft green and white; I guess that's partly why the room has such a peaceful and pretty appearance. Thank you for this post.

  10. Oooooh, I love the branch hanging from the ceiling!!! What a great idea, but also the lead top on the table and all the other things that make your kitchen unique. You will have a lot of places to display and decorate, so have fun with fimo :D
