I had to go to a meeting this morning, but my youngest had to stay home this morning because she didn't feel good, so I had to cancel the meeting.
She went back to bed and mom desided to work on some miniatures now she had some free time while her daughter was taking a nap;)
I already had something in my mind and had to move fast, to finish before she would wake;)
I told you that I'm planning to add a garden to the house in the future. For a garden you need water for the flowers! A tab was needed....I already had one tab next to the staircase, so I just copied the same for the side of the house.
Next thing I had in mind, was a table. I had an empty square make-up container and thought that it would work perfectly as a table top. I knew exactly what to use for it and the job was done in a flash;) I will use it in the future garden, for now I placed it in front of the future tea shop.
The day that I posted about my flowers, I also made 2 Hosta's...didn't show yet!
If there are people wonder, if I ever do something else than working on miniatures? Yes, I am married ( this year 20 years), I'm a mom of 2 kids, son almost 18 and daughter 10 years old, I'm running
my own (interior design) business for 6 years now and I'm doing well, I have to do all the house work myself and I like it when everything is tidy and clean, I do have to make sure there is food on the table every day( glad I love to cook) I try to go 3 times in the week to the gym, we do have a very active social live with lots of family and friends...
So NO, miniatures is not the only thing I do and NO I don't have a lot of spare time, just try to make some time in between the million things I have to do and than work as a mad woman on my miniatures;))))
Do you recognize this???
Sab, you are Wonder woman ;o)
ReplyDeleteHugs and, again, I like so much your work :o)))

DeleteDear, dear Sab! I admire you so much. Thank you for sharing your real life with us. You have no idea how much you have motivated me. To think that you accomplish so much. It's wonderful! You are a super woman! I think you have gotten me out of this state of lethargy I've been in lately.
ReplyDeleteDear dear Lucille, thank you for commenting on my posts, I like to visit your blog too, but somehow It isn't shown if I link your name? I hope to inspire people and blog friends with my posts, hope I can give you some energy too:))))
DeleteDear Sab, I'm so sorry but I don't have a blog.
DeleteI like the table.
ReplyDeleteGreetings, Faby
Thank you:)
DeleteLove your table and little scene. You must be a very organised person and where do you get your energy from? :)
ReplyDeleteThank you...I get my energy from all the wonderfull things of live;)
DeleteHow does one keep up with you in the real life world let alone in miniature! I love the little table Sab! What a clever use for an empty make up pan! It looks just like a little bistro table, it is perfect! And the water taps!!!! SPLENDID!!! The build of of age and corrosion is done so well. I love the photo with the broom and dustpan and the pot of red poppies close by. It really gives the scene some "pause for reflection"!. Where did the person go and why? The questions linger and I think it is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteelizabeth
Thank you Elizabeth, sometime I have difficulties to keep up myself too;)))))) The poppies I made some years ago, and they are very easy to make...think I'm going to make a tutorial of how to make them. The broom was a gift from my friend Ineke, she made it herself with perfection:) What happened there? The lady of the house thought it was time to clean up the stairs, then suddenly reminded that she had someting cooking in the oven and rushed inside:))))
Deleteunas ideas geniales, esa mesa me gusta muchisimo
ReplyDeleteun abrazo
Thank you :)
DeleteIt was great to the the pictures of the exterior of your house and your newest additons (again so well done btw) tell me that you have a very straight and clear vision. Hope you'll always find enough little moments of sparetime for minis... ;O)

ReplyDeleteВаше творчество вдохновляет!
Спасибо, что даёте возможность любоваться вашим талантом!
С любовью из России. Елена.
Thank you Elena:)
DeleteThanks for the lovely photos of the exterior. I love the little table. It is amazing you achieve so much in miniatures with the busy life you lead. I thought I was busy. Makes me realise I could find a bit more time to put to miniatures if I am a bit more disciplined and allow myself a bit more 'me' time.
ReplyDeleteThat is exactly where I go wrong for many many years, never allowed myself 'me' time! I realised that it is so unhealthy never to take some time for yourself...so, when ever I can, I take the time and leave the dishes for later:))))
DeleteWonderful tap for your garden I love the verdigis look of it. Your poppies in the pot are fantastic too - one of my favourite flowers.
ReplyDeleteThank you Gladys, Poppies are my favourite flowers too;)

ReplyDeleteI hope your little one feels better again! (My little one is ill, too)
Hugs, Sandra
Gosh, don't see myself as a wonder woman att all:) but thanks for the compliment! My girl is back to school again, amazing how quick they can feel better? Hope your one is better too? And, yes...every time I can do some mini work, I enjoy myself very good:))))
DeleteMy dear, how happy I am to know something more of your life and your family: now I look at your work through very different eyes :-)
ReplyDeleteThe miniaturists are not people out of the world, but people who live intensely, and still have time to create another world, a world in miniature ... Sometimes, we make better our world in miniature, to exorcize the fears and bad things, other times it is the finer things in life to inspire our world in miniature. Now, your home speaks about you more to me :-)
The exterior is stunning with all the little details. I especially love the windows.
I hope that your little girl feeling better. I am also a mother of a four year old girl, and I fully understand that naps of children are the ideal time to work a little on the miniatures ;-)
By the way, your little girl loves the dollhouse?
I hope so!
Lovely hugs,
Flora
Thank you Flora, I think you are right and love your comment! My daughter is feeling good again:) She loves the DH and all the work I'm doing. She was very happy that I start working again on the house! I hope to build a DH for her too, she gatherd allready some nice miniatures to fill the house...in the mean while I allow her to play with mine! She is extremely careful, so I trust her to play with it!
