I asked for 1 and got 3?

Sometimes ugly ones can be changed
with some help into something beautiful.
Like this bird cage...I cut out a opening and
removed the bird and......

I finished this bird cage some weeks ago but
only wanted to show you when I had that last
item to put in, and make it complete.
What's a bird cage without a nest, so I asked
my dear friend Mercedes to make me one.
Her nests are the cutest and perfect for my cage.

Some old letters, cards and a rose makes
it a perfect still life.

I made this photo accidentelly but it turned
out very nice with the chandelier on the
background. It is hanging in my study.

    Groetjes Jody.

  2. Oh Sabiha, that is beautiful! I love the vignettes inside the bird cage. And Mercedes' nest is perfect.

  9. Oh Sabiha, what a beautiful idea! So perfectly romantic and Mercedes' nest is a lovely addition. =)

  10. Sabiha that's a wonderful shabby birdcage! I love it! I think you did a great job, both aging it as well as decorating it!

  11. Prachtig idee Sabiha, ziet er mooi uit.
    En je strijkijzer, goed bedacht.

    Me encanta.
    Besos Clara.

  14. Dear Saab, with a chandelier so, in the study, you can only create beautiful things!
The cage is really wonderful, color and objects.
I really like the idea you had :-)
    Mini hugs, Flora

  16. Your cage looks fabulous Sab! I am thrilled that my humble nest is part of it!
Now see what fun you can have with the other nests!

    Lieve groetjes, Karin.

  18. This is just awsome!! I love what you made it into:)

  19. I love the grey color for the bird cage. To decorate bird cages instead of using them for birds are also great. I have a few in my 1:1 house and garden, and I like to change things now and then.
And SO beautiful birds nests from Mercedes, you are very lucky!
    Love, Susanne

  20. It is simply gorgeous and sweet.

  25. Hello Sabiha,
I'm following your blog for a long time ago and I admire your job.
I decided to create my blog inspired by your beautiful things I saw. I took the liberty to include you in my list of favorite blogs, can you do the same to me?
Thank you and congratulations for your beautiful miniatures.

  26. Wow I really love that!

Such creativity in something so bland before, then skilfully turned into a shabby chic piece.

I really love your blog, great taste, and very realistic pieces too.
